Words to Inspire, Support and Motivate the Creation of Your Empowered & Dynamic Life Design

Humanity's misfortune is when we don't realize the very gifts we are! We don't serve the rest of the world or ourselves by playing small. Live your life big! Own your truth! We must embrace the knowing that we deserve to live a life we love, one that supports who and what we are. We need to be willing to say, 'Yes! I choose me!'

  • Do you have the COURAGE to CREATE positive CHANGE in your life?

Posted May 4th, 2011 By in Change, Empower Your Day, fear, Life, Shifting Consciousness, The Power of Three With | No Comments CountmeinHS

Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says… I’ll try again tomorrow. ~ Mary Anne Radmacher-Hershey

When I think about the idea of COURAGE (possessing courage, feeling courageous, and being courageous), my thoughts go to the loveable character from The Wizard of Oz, the cowardly lion. The traits and personality of this lion completely overturned the traditional belief that lions are brave. After all, aren’t they kings of the jungle? The cowardly lion took the fears, blocks and obstacles in his life and adopted them as truths.

    Courage
    (noun)

    1. the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery.

Every one of us has our own set of fears, and, very often, these fears prevent us from attaining our true potential and believing that the very things we want in our lives (the very good we deserve to have) was meant for someone else.

If we begin to honor the fears, blocks and obstacles, and not validate them as our truth, we can take the time to look at them and discover why they’ve shown up and are a part of our life. I don’t believe that fears, blocks and obstacles are something we overcome because to be in that mindset means we’ve accepted that they have power over us. Shift your consciousness toward knowing that fears are False Evidence Appearing Real and explore ways you can work with and through the blocks and obstacles that have kept you grounded in the past.

The cowardly lion’s purpose of finding the wizard of Oz was to obtain courage from someone he believed had the power to bestow it upon him. He didn’t realize that it was the journey he took toward this external influence that sparked the courage already inside of him. COURAGE can never be given to us but it is a power we can tap into. There have been numerous times we embraced courage and not recognized it. The showing of courage doesn’t always come by way of a loud roar. Beginning something new, saying, “Yes, I choose me”, knowing that it is okay to call a “do over”, and, as Mary Ann Radmacher-Hershey quoted, “the little voice at the end of the day that says… I’ll try again tomorrow,” are all COURAGEOUS acts.

What courageous step, size is not important, can you take today that will move you toward your divine dream, idea or goal?

Know this affirmation: All the power is within me. I am courageous.

When we create something, we always create it first in a thought form. If we are basically positive in attitude, expecting and envisioning pleasure, satisfaction and happiness, we will attract and create people, situations, and events which conform to our positive expectations. ~ Shakti Gawain

Often times when we hear the word create, we immediately think of creativity, which leads us to the idea of the artist. Many of us believe the only people who create are those who have been gifted with divine talents like painting, photography, sculpting, writing, or acting. This is one myth that should permanently be debunked. Each of us is an artist because every day we are creating. The financial professional creates presentations with numbers that appear as poetry to many of us. The homemaker creates a safe and loving space for their family, and don’t get me started on cooking! True creativity! The act of creating isn’t always external and tangible. One of “create’s” greatest powers is associated with thought. Our thoughts become things. So, what are you creating?

    Create
    (Verb – used with object)

    1. to cause to come into being, as something unique that would not naturally evolve or that is not made by ordinary processes.
    2. to evolve from one’s own thought or imagination, as a work of art or an invention

    (Verb – used without object)

    1. to do something creative or constructive

We were not born ordinary and instead were gifted with unique skills, gifts and talents. We are meant to celebrate who and what we are and create a life that supports our exceptionality. When we embrace our power of COURAGE, we CREATE our right and perfect life design. When we CREATE positive thoughts, it is the beginning of the manifestation of our true identity. Tap into your inner-child and allow your inner-artist to emerge.

Take yourself out on an artist date (solo). Go to a place that makes your heart sing and inspires you.

Purchase a sketchbook and crayons and create the image of your first time creating ANYTHING!

Know this affirmation: I CREATE a deliciously abundant existence every day.

Life is change. Growth is optional. Choose Wisely! ~ Karen Kaiser Clark

Very often, whether we want to admit to it or not, change isn’t an idea we joyfully embrace. Depending on the set of circumstances we might actually resent change and the person or event we believe to have caused this unwanted occurrence in our life. Many people stay anchored in the past because they have found a way to feel comfortable in being uncomfortable; therefore, change becomes unnecessary.

Of course there are those moments, and I do believe there are many, where we look at the people in our life and offer unsolicited advice on ways they should change in order to make their life more fulfilling. Isn’t it always more fun to focus on someone else’s drama, instead of centering on what we do have the power over ~ our lives.

Many years ago, I came across an alternative version of the Serenity Prayer and to this day, I pull it out when challenged by change.

    Lord, give me the serenity
to accept the people I cannot change,
the courage to change the person I can,
and the wisdom to know it is me!

    Change
    (Verb – used with object)

    1. to make the form, nature, content, future course, etc., of (something) different from what it is or form what it would be if left alone.
    2. to transform or convert

    (Verb – used without object)

    1. to become different
    2. to become altered or modified
    3. to be come transformed

We can dig in our heels all we want, but part of living life is change. You are not the same person you were two months ago, let alone two years ago. When you consciously say, “Yes, this is my time to shine,” you are also saying yes to change. Change can feel very lonely and scary. With personal and spiritual growth, we sometimes discover that the very people we believed would be in our lives forever will not. This doesn’t make them or you awful. We all are on unique paths and there will be moments when you will need to love people from afar.

If you see CHANGE as a positive part of your transformation in order to CREATE a life you love, you are making a COURAGE shift of consciousness. If you recognize that you are no longer comfortable in your skin, you will CREATE positive thoughts that promote CHANGE and start your on an extraordinary journey.

What change are you ready to make in your life?

Know this COURAGEOUS affirmation: I have the COURAGE to CREATE positive CHANGE in my life.

Do you have the courage to create positive change in your life? Are you ready to say yes?

Have you ever felt like the strong, silent type?

You know, those moments when you keep your comments to yourself yet inside you feel this incredible instinct to speak harshly to or about someone else?

Humanity is an exercise at all levels. We live our lives at a body, mind and Soul level. Oftentimes, when our Soul speaks, we may not be listening.

When it comes to the body, we strengthen and nurture it as best as we can. We eat the foods that serve to make us strong. We work out our muscles and over time we can see the results. Our strength is easily visible to others. As we work out our bodies, it really doesn’t affect the Soul…does it?

As we learn new skills and solve dilemmas we face, we work out our minds. With the variety of situations and circumstances we find ourselves in as women, we strengthen our thought processes and skill sets.

This strength is less obvious when we are silent; yet even in our silence, we listen and learn. When we speak or write, it is more prominent for others, and often ourselves, to see, hear and experience.

The Soul is a whole different level. It’s not visible, or is it? It involves character and who you are at your very essence.

The Soul gets a workout through our perspective of ourselves and others. We strengthen our Souls through the judgments we make about us and other people.

From a young age, our Souls are shaped by the input we receive from others – parents, siblings, peers, religious leaders, professional colleagues and others.

Giving and receiving judgment is a workout that could strengthen anyone’s Soul. Some build resentment. Some take it with a grain of salt. Some accept it. Others don’t.

Striving for non-judgment is a totally different exercise that many are not sure how to approach or engage in.

Non-judgment has the effect of softening and strengthening our Souls through an experience filled with acceptance, allowing and acknowledging that everyone at every age is still discovering, learning and experiencing new things and situations.
Strengthening the Soul becomes visible over time to ourselves and others. The softening of it does too.

Some choose to harden their hearts and Souls in the face of judgment. This may seem like the stronger approach. More often, it takes a greater strength to soften your heart and allow others to be entitled to their perspective. You can choose not to agree with it; however, you can soften the blow of your disagreement by allowing others to be authentic about their feelings and thoughts – without judgment.

To work out our Souls, we need to develop our faith in ourselves and others. Our encouragement of one another speaks volumes in the face of any condition or circumstance.

By offering the gifts of acceptance, openness and acknowledgment, we strengthen one another’s Soul by allowing each individual to be and express who they truly are.

For many of us, this is a constant workout. Just ask a mother with a screaming child in public, a daughter who is criticized by a parent, or a business owner whose employee just blew a major deal.

In our rush to be, do and have, we sometimes leave behind ourselves and our Souls and skip the steps that exercise the very essence of who we are.

This consistent self-discovery opens our eyes to see the lives we are living in vivid Technicolor.

It gives some a moment of pause and sends others screaming in the face of their reality.

Through small steps toward non-judgment, the Deliciously Fabulous YOU receives permission to emerge and be acknowledged by you and others.

There is so much benefit you can bring to humanity when you are willing to step up, soften your stance and strengthen your approach.

The challenge to each of us is: will you?

    You can do it!

  • Begin Now. Believe in You. Create Balance.

Posted May 3rd, 2011 By in Change, Empower Your Day, Life Purpose, Shifting Consciousness, The Power of Three With | No Comments CountmeinHS

Whether we are conscious of it or not, we BEGIN every day. Each morning is a new beginning and we have the power to choose how the day will unfold and what we will create. We’ve experienced the process of BEGINNING since we were children, and to quote Seneca, a Roman philosopher, “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.” Our life is a series of journeys and we need to awaken ourselves to this knowing. If we are able to recognize that we are experts in starting over, the idea of beginning anew during life transitions and transformations doesn’t feel so overwhelming.

    I’ll start tomorrow.
I have plenty of time to focus on my dreams, ideas and goals.
As soon as I organize and create space in my home, I will be able to focus on me.
Once my children start school I will start to work on my life purpose.

How often have you said these statements, or a similar thought, to others and yourself? We create lists of reasons why it is impossible to begin right now. The rub? When we affirm the reasons why we CAN’T, we create powerful blocks and obstacles in our life that keep us from receiving our good and from identifying the right and perfect people, situations, experiences and opportunities that will move us forward. What happens next? We complain because we are unhappy, unfulfilled and why doesn’t anything work out for me.

BEGIN now with small, easily achievable action steps that fit into your time schedule. Our personal journeys aren’t a race to the finish and comparing your path, with someone else you believe is on a similar or identical road, will create mental clutter causing you to lose focus on your priorities. When it comes to time, I affirm every day: There is more than enough time for me to achieve what needs to get done today. By removing the worry of time, I find more clarity in how I structure my day. I see the tasks move and shift to their right and perfect position.

BEGIN now with the knowing that your divine dreams, ideas and goals will be realized. When you BELIEVE this truth, you will see a shift in your thoughts, words, actions and emotions. There will be no room for excuses and the why I can’ts. Believing in what you know to be true for you, without having tangible evidence, is a formidable gift! Choosing to BELIEVE in you activates your power of faith, clears the path where blocks of negative thoughts and beliefs were keeping you from beginning, and results in your being alive, alert and awake to opportunities and experiences.

How often have you shared with a friend or loved one, “I believe in you.” When was the last time, if ever, you stood in front of the mirror and with a radiant smile affirmed, “I BELIEVE in me!” Try it on today! You might choke or stutter through those four words initially. Most of us aren’t experts at self-love, and it’s time we adjust our consciousness toward love for ourselves! BEGIN every day with the affirmation, “I BELIEVE in me!” Remind yourself throughout the day: before a phone call, attending a meeting, or speaking to a family member. Even when your ego attempts to squash this powerful statement of self-love, your heart knows better. Your spirit will fill your core with warmth and energy, and what initially felt like a false statement will be said effortlessly because it is your truth!

I recently read a quote from a well-known and well-respected life coach that stated, “I can tell you with absolute assurance that it is impossible for women to achieve the kind of balance recommended by many well-meaning self-help counselors.” As I’m not sure what well-meaning self-help counselors are recommending, I do know for certain that if you believe balance is impossible, regardless of gender, than you will succeed and live an unbalanced life. You will feel scattered and frustrated. Decisions and choices of what to do and when will feel torturous.

Achieving balance and creating a harmonious lifestyle looks different based on the individual. Well, of course it does! We are unique and this should be honored and celebrated! Yet, the idea behind BALANCE is equal for everyone. We need to construct a BALANCED life of mind, body and spirit. If we don’t take care of our mind, body and spirit, how can we continue to nurture others with fervor? Saying yes to your needs and self-care benefits not just you, but everyone in your life. To BEGIN to create BALANCE and harmony in your life, you must BELIEVE in its importance and that you deserve to design it into your lifestyle. Affirm daily with gentle breathing, “I create a delicious BALANCE of mind, body and spirit in my life.” Know these words throughout the day by giving yourself the gift of five minutes every hour to silence and breathing. When you BEGIN to BELIEVE that you deserve BALANCE in your life, new ideas will show up to guide you in directions that support harmony.

Empower your day with the power of three: Begin, Believe and Balance!

I BEGIN every day centered in the knowing that my divine dreams, ideas and goals will be realized because I BELIEVE in me and create a delicious BALANCE of mind, body and spirit in my life.

  • Are you Alive, Alert and Awake?

Posted May 2nd, 2011 By in Empower Your Day, Shifting Consciousness, The Power of Three With | No Comments

Take a moment to think about how your day began this morning.

    1. How many times did you hit the snooze on your alarm clock before you rolled out of bed?

    2. Did you wake up before the alarm event went off – excited about the day that lay ahead?

    3. Where you bemoaning about a weekend that went by too quickly and affirming that Monday’s are always the worst day of the week?

    4. Did you feel energized by all the limitless possibilities and opportunities that would be available to you today?

How we start our day, the thoughts we are holding, the words we choose to use, the actions we take and the emotions we feel impact how our day unfolds. Thoughts do become things, and we must remain diligent in our commitment to shifting those words we choose to use toward ones that support who and what we are: DAILY!

When I think about the words that embody the alignment of thoughts, words, actions, emotions, as well as the creation of the right and perfect life design, three words come to mind: Alive, Alert, Awake.

    Alive (adjective)
    1. having life; living; existing
    2. living (used for emphasis)
    3. in a state of action, in force; action

What a delicious word to describe, identify and qualify life! We are meant to live, to have a life, to live with and on purpose, and to take action, in force, toward what we want to create in and for our lives. Do you feel ALIVE when you awake in the morning? Do you feel ALIVE when you step out the door and begin your day? Does the thought of seeing your divine dreams, ideas and goals manifested make you feel ALIVE? If you’re not feeling energized with your current set of circumstance, tap into your power of choice. You were blessed with unique skills, gifts and talents to honor and celebrate. Take the time to reconnect and become ALIVE to your limitless potential.

I AM ALIVE with the knowing that I DESERVE to live a dynamic and delicious life!

    Alert
    (adjective)

    1. fully aware and attentive; wide-awake; keen
    2. swift; agile
    (noun)
    1. an attitude of vigilance
    (idiom)
    1. in readiness

Are you alert to the world around you? Living in New York City, I often see people walking with headphones plugged into their ears, while reading and or texting at the same time. EVERY day we are presented with opportunities that will move us forward and toward the realization of our divine dreams, ideas and goals. How often are we aware of these experiences, situations, and people? Do we say yes, do we say no, or do we believe that nothing special or out of the ordinary presented itself to us because we didn’t recognize it? If you’re ALIVE to the creation of your life purpose, you will experience a positive change in awareness. You will be attentive; you will be vigilant; you will be ready; you will be ALERT!

I AM ALERT to the LIMITLESS opportunities that show up in my life daily.

    Awake
    (verb)
    1. to wake up
    2. to rouse to action
    3. to come or bring to an awareness
    (adjective)
    1. waking; not sleeping
    2. vigilant; alert

Have you ever experienced moments of being physically awake, while feeling like you were walking in a fog at the same time? You don’t feel focused or centered. There can be a sensation of cobwebs. There are other moments when we complain about how our life isn’t working and all of the things we don’t have. We aren’t AWAKE to what we have created, how we have made a difference, and the good we already have in mass. There’s nothing wrong with wanting more, to improve a situation, to grow spiritually, academically, and physically. Yet, if we aren’t able to express gratitude for what we do have, how can we appreciate what will show up? When we believe there is lack and limitation in our life, we experience blocks and obstacles to the good we so very much deserve. It’s time to brush aside the cobwebs, evaporate the fog, and wake up to take action!

I AM AWAKE to all of the GOOD in my life now and all of the good that is soon to be realized.

What makes you come ALIVE? Are you ALERT to the world around you? Are you AWAKE to your good? This is your time!

  • Michele’s May Challenge: The Power of Three

Posted May 2nd, 2011 By in Empower Your Day, Life Purpose, Shifting Consciousness, The Power of Three With | 2 Comments CountmeinHS

A couple of weeks ago, I had the great fortune to listen to a dear friend of mine stand on stage, in a room of over 800 people, and share his story. He embodies strength, love, healing and hope. During his story, he shared his new “3G Network”: Gratitude, Giving and Grace. These three powerful words empowered him, represented his values, and supported his life purpose.

As I experienced that moment, I began to think about the significant power behind the number three. When we look at the number three from a spiritual and holistic belief system, it represents artistic and creative expression, optimism and vitality. It’s about ideals and ideas, thinking and action. This number embraces visualization and unwavering love toward mankind.

There has been a lot of research done on the psychological power of the number three and how it can improve communication. The brain finds it very easy to understand in threes. Most visual communication can be reduced to three features: elements, fonts and colors. For example brands like McDonald’s and Coca-Cola embrace the power of three. McDonalds and their golden arches represent one font and two colors (yellow and white (or black). The Coca-Cola button we often see in advertising is the button itself, the bottle on the button, and the Coke logo.

Three is very much a mystical number that shows up repeatedly in mythology: three fates, three muses, and three graces. Three is also a consistent component in fairy tales: three wishes, three little pigs, and the three bears. Writers use the power of three in their story telling. In a mystery, give one clue to excite the reader, two to suggest a direction of discovery and three to create a pattern. The power of three in a story creates tension, develops it and releases it.

During the month of May, I invite you to use the power of three in your life. What commanding words describe you, energize you, represent your values, and support your life purpose? Every day in May, I will share my three power words for each letter in the alphabet. On Monday, May 2, 2011, my three power words are: Alive, Alert and Awake. Take the time to consider what three words represent your power of three! Each day I will create affirmations and challenge you to create your own.

You are more than welcome to share your three with me on any of my social networks. Your power of three has the potential to inspire hundreds of thousands of people, many you don’t know, and the actions they take as a result will inspire hundreds of thousands of people, many they don’t know. Are you ready to embrace my May challenge?

I am ALIVE with the knowing that I deserve a dynamic and delicious life.
I am ALERT to the limitless opportunities that show up in my life daily.
I am AWAKE to all of the good in my life now and all of the good that is soon to be realized.

    With Grace, Love and Gratitude,

    Michele
